• Tastings and events organised by Vacanze Toscane are moments not only for tasting Typical Maremma dishes but also for knowing the products used for their preparation.
• Thinking of farm holidays is not only the peace of countryside, the new and wonderful landscapes that can be discovered, but it is also the gastronomic aspect offered to you. It is easier to taste traditional dishes in our Farmhouse and all our dishes are prepared with local products that you can hardly find in the large-scale market. The main ingredients used are produced by small farms in the area, strictly family-run, which are part of Italian gastronomic excellence.

Vacanze Toscane has carried out a research to offer its customers quality food products, DOC wines, IGP extra virgin olive oil, DOP cheese, Tuscan DOP ham, IGP Finocchiona and several other products such as sauces, jams, honey, ancient grains flour, saffron of Maremma and much more.

The dishes offered are often very traditional and the vegetables used are the most natural that can be found. Gardens give vegetables in all season and the chicken coops provide genuine poultry and eggs.

Each region is rich in history and gastronomic traditions and Maremma, even if in the past it was an area of marshes, malaria and misery, has a great variety of really excellent dishes; some of them are very simple such as Acquacotta (boiled water), prepared just with water and seasonal vegetables: garlic, onion, tomatoes, salt and a lot of bread. During holidays, In Maremma they used to prepare more substantial dishes with game, especially wild boar, and the typical “tortelli”, homemade pasta with ricotta cheese and chards.
